Protecting the right to life of children around the world

Child poverty is a major social issue not only in the world but also in Japan.

According to a survey conducted in 2022 by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, "one in five (15.5%) Japanese children live in poverty," and "one in five elementary school students The reality is that one out of every five children attending elementary school can only afford to eat one meal of school lunch per day.

Children are an asset to the earth. And they are our hope. We are committed to lasting activities so that children around the world can eat, grow, and receive an education with peace of mind.

In addition to the basic caregiving function for infants and toddlers who cannot be cared for by their guardians, we are also promoting the establishment of institutions with specialized caregiving functions for abused children, sick children, and handicapped children.

For children who do not have guardians or for children for whom it is not appropriate to be cared for by guardians, we provide a stable living environment and support their healthy growth in mind and body and their independence by providing lifestyle guidance, learning guidance, and adjustment of the home environment.

The program also provides a place to live for single-parent families (single mothers (1.2 million households) and single fathers) who are in need so that mothers and children can live together and receive support together.
